Peterson Planetarium is hosting a special week of shows.
The Planetarium, located on the lower level of Emporia State’s Science Hall, is hosting full-dome shows each night this week on different aspects of the sciences. Interim Director Scott Capes was on KVOE’s Newsmaker 2 Tuesday morning to talk this week’s shows.
The Planetarium has events planned after this week also with a Star Party at the Tallgrass National Preserve on Aug. 11.
Regular Wednesday Planetarium showings start Aug. 22, and Saturday shows starting Aug. 25. All events are free to the public, but seating is limited to 35 people for all Planetarium shows. All shows this week start at 5 p.m. in Science Hall Room 31. You can reserve seats by calling 341-5636 or emailing scimathc@emporia.edu.
