The deadline to sign up for next month’s Emporia Recreation Commission Corporate Challenge is Friday.
Rec Center staff members joined KVOE’s Talk of Emporia to talk about the 17th annual event which brings together employees for a competitive 12-day challenge that not only encourages wellness but also camaraderie. ERC Wellness Supervisor Barb Rourk.
ERC Wellness Coordinator Aaron Hammond explains how the Corporate Challenge is divided up.
Team members must be at least 18 years old to participate and teams should consist of both male and female members. The Corporate Challenge starts Aug. 12 and continues through Aug. 24 with the picnic and awards presentation. Activities will include bowling, badminton, disc golf, darts, a wacky water relay, baggo, putt putt, a canoe race, bocce and bolo.
