The Emporia Energy 18 year old team was 0-2 on day 1 of the USSSA 18A Midwest National tournament.
Energy lost to the Quad City Lady Hitmen 8-2 and were defeated by Topeka Stingers 2-1. The Energy 18s will close out pool play with a game against Diamond Club Premier-Walker out of Kansas City. They will begin bracket play later Thursday afternoon.
