Two come from behind efforts came up short for the Emporia Energy 18 year old team the USSSA 18A Midwest National tournament Thursday.
In the final pool play game Diamond Club Premier held off a late rally by the Energy 18s for a 6-5 win. Energy finished pool play 0-3. They also rallied late in their first game in bracket play before losing to K C Elite 4-3. The Energy 18s will play the Kansas Blue Sox Orange out of Wichita in a elimination game Friday morning.
