Open enrollment has officially begun for Emporia Public Schools.
Residents should have begun receiving enrollment letters Monday afternoon with snap codes enclosed. The snap codes allow you to register for classes online either at Marry Herbert or from the comfort of your own home.
USD 253 Community Relations Director Lyndell Langdren
District Student and Families Resource Specialist Heather Wagner says it is important to get a jump on enrollment as it can be a tedious process.
The deadline for online enrollment is August 1, after that, you will need to go to Mary Herbert Education Center to complete enrollment in person. The district has several staff members on hand, including translators, to assist with the enrollment process. Hours for enrollment are from 7:30 to 5:30 Monday through Thursday this week and 7:30 am to 4 pm July 30 through August 1 at Mary Herbert located at 1700 West 7 Avenue.
