The Emporia High Drumline put on dinner and a bit of a show Saturday.
The band unit hosted a taco feed to help raise funds to purchase new equipment at the Church of Nazarene. Junior and bass drum player Isaiah Chavez talked to KVOE about their passion for playing and helping support the drumline.
Between making plates, cleaning up and cooking, students took time to also perform for their patrons. Drummers performed every hour during the fundraiser.
Funds raised will be used to buy new stands for drums, and totals are pending. Drumline members say their currents stands are going on ten years old.
