The Detroit Tigers scored 3 runs in the top of the 9th and defeated the Kansas City Royals 5-4 Monday night.
The Royals were leading 4-2 going to the top of the 9th when the Tigers scored 3 runs off of Brandon Mauer. Manager Ned Yost says it has been a rough go for Mauer.
Lucas Duda drove in 3 of the Royals runs and Mike Moustakas doubled in a run. The Royals and Tigers play again Tuesday night with Burch Smith making the start for the Royals. First pitch is set for 7:15p.
