Progress keeps moving forward on the North Lyon County Veterans Memorial.
The Masonic Lodge in Americus will be hosting a fundraiser sloppy joe dinner Saturday. Organization spokesperson Diane Bedner Smith talked about the development of the project on KVOE’s Monday Newsmaker segment.
Located at Bushong’s city park, the memorial already has several parts up.
The fundraiser will run 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Meals are being provided for a free will donation, although $5 is suggested, and will include sloppy joes, beans, drinks, ice cream, and homemade cookies.
