One week into advance voting, Lyon County election officials are seeing a steady stream of residents casting their ballots ahead of the Aug. 7 primary.
As of Friday afternoon, 258 Lyon County residents had taken advantage of the opportunity to advance vote. Lyon County Clerk Tammy Vopat says it’s a good start.
Vopat says there have been no issues with the new voting equipment and says election officials are readily available to help anyone with questions.
Advance voting takes place through noon Aug. 6 at the County Clerk’s office inside the Lyon County Courthouse. The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is Tuesday. The primary election takes place Aug. 7.
