The Kansas City Royals split a doubleheader with the New York Yankees Saturday.
The Royals out scored the Yankees 10-5 in the first game. Lucas Duda hit a 2 run home run in the 5th inning. Brian Goodwin hit a 3 run home run in the 8th to seal the win.
New York won the 2nd game 5-4. The Royals scored single runs in the 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th innings. Salvador Perez hit a solo home run in the 3rd inning. The Royals stranded 15 baserunners in the game.
