The Minnesota Twins completed a 3 game sweep of the Kansas City Royals with a 6-5 win Sunday.
Lucas Duda gave the Royals the early lead with a 2 run home run in the 1st inning.
The Twins scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning on a Jake Cave grand slam. They added 2 runs in the 4th.
Alex Gordon drove in a run in the 5th with a single.
Whit Merrifield hit a 2 run home run in the 7th to get the Royals with in a run.
The Royals did have the tying run at 3rd base in the 9th inning but could not push the run across.
The Royals begin a 3 game series with the Chicago Cubs tonight in Kansas City. Jakob Junis will be on the mound for the Royals with first pitch at 7:15p.
