The Kansas Turnpike Authority continues road paving work near the Matfield Green service exit.
The Turnpike Authority says paving is ongoing between the Cassoday exit at mile marker 93 and mile marker 95, two miles southwest of the Matfield Green exit. That work currently affects the northbound outside lane and should wrap up by the end of this month.
A separate milling and surfacing project is also ongoing between mile markers 102 and 105. This work affects the northbound inside lane.
To our north, the Turnpike Authority is paving parts of the highway between mileposts 153 and 159, or six to 12 miles northeast of the Admire-Council Grove exit and stretching across parts of Lyon, Wabaunsee and Osage counties. This project affects the northbound inside lane and also involves both a 65-mph speed limit and 12-foot lane width restriction.
Separately, the Lyon County Highway Department has re-opened Road 155 between Roads D and D-2. That part of Road 155 had been closed for a bridge replacement.
