Most area school districts are just about set to open their doors and begin the 2018-2019 academic year.
One area district, USD 245 Southern Coffey County, began classes Monday. All other districts start classes over the next 10 days:
*Wednesday: USD 386 Madison-Virgil, USD 390 Hamilton
*Thursday: USD 243 Lebo-Waverly, USD 244 Burlington, USD 417 Morris County, USD 421 Lyndon, USD 454 Burlingame
*Friday: USD 389 Eureka, USD 420 Osage City, USD 456 Marais des Cygnes Valley
*Aug. 20: USD 434 Santa Fe Trail
*Aug. 21-22: USD 253 Emporia. Aug. 21 is Jump Start for new students to the district or their respective building. Aug. 22 is for all other students.
*Aug. 22: USD 252 Southern Lyon County
*Aug. 23: USD 284 Chase County
