Recent rainfall won’t do much to halt renovation projects for USD 252.
Groundbreaking took place in February for a $14 million renovation project for Neosho Rapids Elementary, Hartford Junior/Senior High and Olpe. USD 252 Superintendent Mike Argabright says the project is moving on schedule as fire marshals officially completed their inspections last Friday.
Argabright also gave an overview of the new additions coming to Neosho Rapids.
Renovations at Neosho Rapids will connect the school more thoroughly thus eliminating detached buildings on the school’s campus. In Hartford, renovations include a new weight room and an updated commons area including an outdoor eating area for students. In Olpe, dirt work has just gotten underway as the district had to go through a rebid process.
The fall semester will be getting underway a week later than last year due to the renovations. Classes will officially begin August 22.
