Strong thunderstorms moved across the KVOE listening area Thursday night.
The worst damage may have been in Eureka — in the middle once again Thursday evening of some severe weather activity which threatened back-to-school activities at Eureka High School.
Eureka School Board member Brian Mongeau says around 6:15 p.m. they noticed winds beginning to pick up.
No injuries have been reported. Mongeau says everyone took proper precautions to get to safety.
With two tornadoes under its belt, including the most recent one June 26, Mongeau says patrons are staying positive.
Greenwood County law enforcement reported a brief rotating wall cloud east of Eureka near the Hwy 54 and 99 junction which didn’t stay organized very long.
