A 6 run 2nd inning was not enough for the Kansas City Royals Sunday as the Chicago White Sox rallied for a 7-6 win.
Ryan O’Hearn hit a 2 run home run. Whit Merrfield hit a 3 run home run and Alex Gordon hit a solo home run to give the Royals a 6-0 lead. The White Sox would score 6 runs in the 4th inning on 3 home runs. They would add the go ahead run in the 5th inning. Manager Ned Yost said the 2nd inning was encouraging.
The Royals begin a 4 game series in Tampa with the Rays Monday night. Jorge Lopez makes the start for the Royals with first pitch at 6:10p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
