Lyon County commissioners have budgets and infrastructure matters as the main features of their action meeting Thursday.
Commissioners could well approve the 2019 budget before the meeting is over. The current budget has a slight reduction in the annual mill levy. Commissioners will have a public hearing at 10 am before voting on the budget, which has to be approved by Aug. 25.
Also, commissioners will field an update on the latest water project for Rural Water District No. 1 from Americus to Bushong. Commissioners will also discuss potential appointments to the Flint Hills Trail State Park advisory board. At least six executive sessions are also planned.
The meeting starts at 8 am in the County Courthouse.
