Many local companies are helping set the pace for the United Way of the Flint Hills.
On Thursday, those 22 Pacesetters kicked off their portion of the campaign at Cradle to Career Literacy. United Way campaign chair Vicki Brooks explains the importance of having local businesses on board.
Brooks says because United Way has 25 different programs serving the Flint Hills, the donations they receive have a major impact on the community.
This year’s theme is “your gift matters” and Brooks explains what they hoping to give back from that theme.
No campaign goal has been set at this point but Brooks says that will be announced very soon.
