A preliminary hearing in the theft case against former Emporia Senior Center Director Lannie Lyman has been continued to later this year.
A motion for continuance was filed by Lyman’s attorney Brian Williams this week after he was appointed by Lyon County District Court to represent her. Lyman’s new hearing will take place at 2 p.m. Oct. 4 and Williams has requested a two-hour setting in front of Judge W. Lee Fowler.
Lyman is accused of theft of over $100,000 from the Senior Center from 2016 to fall 2017 when money from the facility was found as missing.
