A smoke call at Plumb Place on Tuesday afternoon turned out to be a minor incident.
Smoke was reported to Emporia firefighters around 2:30 pm. Battalion Chief Eron Steinlage says a pan was left on a stove and generated some smoke. There was no fire.
Nobody was hurt.
