Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters serving Lyon County is recruiting for some new roles at the chapter.
This follows the state chapter’s merger earlier this year with the former Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Flint Hills. During KVOE’s 8:05 a.m. newscast Thursday, spokesperson Missy Floyd says among the changes is in local leadership where they currently have an opening for a development associate.
The job description is available online at kansasbigs.org. Separately, the local chapter has transitioned from having a local board to having what’s called a community leadership council. Two upcoming informational sessions are planned in September and Floyd says anyone is encouraged to come to listen.
The council will meet for up to an hour-and-a-half every other month. The first info session is at noon Sept. 6 and the second will take place at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 11.
