TOPEKA — The Labor Day weekend will be busy for travel.
Kansas AAA spokesperson Jennifer Haugh says — you guessed it — another record for holiday travel is coming.
Haugh says you need to do some simple car maintenance before you hit the road. Kansas AAA typically gets around 1,400 rescue calls during the Labor Day holiday weekend. You also need to pack your patience and wear your seat belt.
Meanwhile, gas prices are holding steady at close to $2.60 a gallon across Emporia. With the annual switch to winter blend fuel coming, prices could come down somewhat if there aren’t major disruptions from political tensions or hurricanes. Kansas is 11th in the nation for cheapest gas in the latest AAA report.
