Lyon County commissioners had a quick action meeting Thursday.
Commissioners approved County Engineer Chip Woods’ request to close Main Street in Americus for the town’s annual Fall Festival Oct. 6-7.
Commissioners also approved a message board project through the state’s Northeast Homeland Security Region. Emergency Management Director Jarrod Fell says one of the county boards is out of service, so the region will pay for the board. The message boards are used at various public events and also get rolled out to provide public health and safety messages at various locations around the county.
