The Coffey County Sheriff’s Office says an elderly Oklahoma man was the victim in Thursday morning’s fatal crash outside New Strawn.
Norval Bassford, 93, of McAlester, Okla., was killed when his southbound minivan crossed the center line on US Highway 75 and slammed head-on into a northbound semi at 20th Road, about four miles north of New Strawn.
The investigation continues at last word.
