Kansas State opened the football season with a 27-24 win over South Dakota Saturday night.
Kansas State did not take their first lead until the 4th quarter when Skyler Thompson connected with Isaiah Zuber for a 10 yard scoring pass. The Wildcats managed only 4 fieldgoals for the first 3 quarters of the game. Isaiah Zuber returned a punt 85 yard for the Cats first touchdown of the game. South Dakota had a chance to tie the game, but missed a 51 yard fieldgoal as time expired. Kansas State hosts Mississippi State next Saturday.
