The Kansas City Royals walked off with a 5-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles Saturday night.
Whit Merrifield hit a 2 run home run with 1 out in the bottom of the 9th to give the Royals the win.
The Orioles scored 2 runs in the 8th inning to take a 4-3 lead. The Royals scored 2 runs in the 6th inning on a Brian Goodwin double and Rosell Herrera single. Brett Phillips hit a solo home run in the 4th inning for the Royals first run. The Royals have now won 4 in a row and 6 of their last 7. They have now won 3 straight series. The Royals and Orioles play again Sunday afternoon with Jorge Lopez pitching for the Royals. First pitch is at 1:15p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
