Area residents are invited to take a trip down to Bluestem this weekend to educate themselves on outdoor conservation efforts.
The 16th annual Bluestem Wildlife Appreciation and Conservation Days event will get underway this Friday. The day-long event brings in wildlife and outdoor conservation experts and agencies from around the area to share tips and inform community members about the wonders of the great outdoors.
Bluestem Farm and Ranch Supply manager Bruce Burenheide says along with the 25 different booths, there will also be plenty of hands-on activities for children.
Also on hand will be a wide selection of food including a wiener cart selling Fanestil meats hot dogs and a Traeger Grills demonstration which will feature the crowd favorite smoked Fanestil bologna.
Wildlife Appreciation and Conservation Days will take place Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm.
