A new court date has been set for former Emporia Senior Center Director Lannie Lyman.
Originally scheduled for a two-hour setting Oct. 4, Lyman will now appear before Judge Jeffry Larson at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 18. Lyman is facing one count of theft of over $100,000 dating from early 2016 through September 2017. Court affidavits provided to KVOE News say Lyman allegedly wrote bonus checks for more than what the Senior Center board approved and altered Quickbooks records.
In late August, Emporia attorney Brian Williams was appointed by Lyon County District Court to defend Lyman.
