Fire officials made quick work of a vehicle fire Wednesday evening east of Emporia.
Emergency personnel including Emporia Fire and Lyon County deputies were dispatched to 1679 Road T5 and found a Ford pickup truck fully engulfed in flames. Battalion Chief Ryan Conley tells KVOE News that the truck was parked relatively close to a couple of structures on private property but thankfully didn’t spread. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under further investigation.
