If shopping is on your radar this weekend, downtown Emporia is where you should be.
The Great American Market returns on Saturday and Emporia Main Street Community Outreach Coordinator Jessica Buchholz says this year’s event is expected to be one of the biggest markets to date.
Buchholz joined KVOE’s Morning Show with a preview of the event Thursday. The market runs from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. with booth vendors setting up as early as 4 a.m. Clothing, arts and crafts, food vendors and more items will be available for sale. The event typically draws around 8,000 people into town. Buchholz says they are proceeding as normal but encourage people to pay attention if there is inclement weather.
