A glancing blow from a dying tropical storm is recharging our atmosphere and giving us the chance for more light to moderate rainfall Friday.
The National Weather Service says the remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon are more aimed at Missouri before turning east and dropping heavy rainfall from Illinois to Pennsylvania in the coming days. However, enough moisture from Gordon made it to east-central Kansas to give us the chance of up to an inch or two of rainfall through late afternoon.
Most of the activity will be from showers, but there will be some embedded thunderstorms through the day.
The rain chances are curtailed but still exist for Friday night and Saturday morning, with dry conditions taking over Saturday afternoon and then lasting into the late stages of next week.
