The Olpe Eagles were firing on all cylinders en route to their 31-0 victory over the Burlington Wildcats
Olpe would break a scoreless tie in the second quarter thanks to a 19 yard Blaine Hinrichs touchdown run with 5:35 left in the first half. Olpe would then convert on 4th and 17 off a sixteen-yard pass from Coleby Hoelting to Blaine Hinrichs. Hinrichs would follow up with a one-yard touchdown run to give Olpe a 12-0 lead with ten seconds to play in the first half.
Olpe continued the dominance in the second half as Hinrichs would take the opening kickoff off 75 yards for his third touchdown of the game extending the lead 18-0. Olpe would add touchdown runs by Coleby and Camden Hoelting to seal the win.
Hinrichs refers to the first quarter as a feeling out process.
Hinrichs led the Eagle offense with 15 carries for 92 yards. Olpe had 175 yards of total offense.
Burlington was led offensively by quarterback Brannon Nordstedt who managed 22 carries for 36 yards. Burlington ended the evening with 84 yards of total offense.
With the win Olpe now improves to 2-0 on the season while Burlington drops to 1-1.
