The Emporia High football team rolled to a 56-7 win over Topeka West Friday night.
Gabe Galindo gave the Spartans the early lead. Tyler Lindquist and Anthony Delgado added touchdown runs Spencer Stewart caught a touchdown pass to give the Spartans a 28-0 lead at halftime. In the 2nd half Spencer Stewart returned a kick-off for a touchdown. Beau Baumgardner returned a interception for a touchdown. Skyler Douglass scored 2 touchdowns in the game.
The Spartans held West to minus 8 yards of offense.
Emporia High is now 1-1 for the season. They play Legend High School out of Colorado next Saturday in Scott City.
