The intersection of 15th Ave. and Rural Street is expected to reopen Wednesday morning.
Emporia City Engineering closed the intersection in late August for the replacement of an 8-inch water main north to 18th. Separately work has been taking place nearby on East Wilman Court.
Work will still be ongoing in this general vicinity, so motorists should continue to proceed in that area with caution and watch for construction workers.
