The Emporia High volleyball team defeated Junction City and lost to Topeka High Thursday night.
The Lady Spartans defeated Junction City in 3 sets 25-19, 22-25 and 25-11.
Emporia High won the first set with Topeka High 26-24. Topeka High won the next two sets 25-17, 25-18.
Emporia High Coach Kaitlyn Just was encouraged by the effort.
The Lady Spartans are now 5-7. They will host Mill Valley and Tonganoxie Monday night
