The Emporia State volleyball team did back down from the number 1 ranked team in the nation, Nebraska Kearney, Friday night.
The Lady Hornets won the first set 26-24. Nebraska Kearney however would win the next 3 sets 25-12, 25-22, 25-15. Taylor Otting finished with a team high 13 kills and 28 digs.
Emporia State Coach Bing Xu was encouraged by the match.

Emporia States volleyball team hosts Fort Hays State Saturday afternoon with first serve set for 3pm at White Auditorium.
