The Emporia State cross country teams ran in the Missouri Southern Stampede Saturday.
The men finished in 14th place out of 27 teams. Sam Henegli was the lead runner for the Hornets finishing in 52nd place. The women finished in 27th place out of 34 teams. Freshman Kaitlyn Karjala, from Emporia, was the lead runner for Emporia State finishing in 117th place.
