Sounds of praise and sounds of activity intermingled Saturday as part of New Life Christian Church’s annual Make a Joyful Noise 5K.
The run-walk has featured several stations where praise music from different genres has been performed. Zavario Torres participated as a musician two years ago and as a runner last year. This weekend, he brought out his guitar again.
About 110 participated, on par with last year’s event. Fundraising totals are pending, but early indications are the totals will be higher this year. Proceeds benefit the church’s worship team and will also provide food for so-called “blessing boxes” around town.
