The Emporia State soccer team shutout Washburn 3-0 Sunday.
Maria Walden scored the first goal in the 14th minute of play.
Makayla Brady scored her first career goal in the 30th minute of play. Aislinn Hughes scored her first career goal in the 55th minute of play. Goalie Jillian Patton had to make only 1 save in the match.
Coach Brian Sailer said they played well.
The Lady Hornets are now 4-1-1 for the season. They are scheduled to host Nebraska Kearney Friday.
