Patrick Mahomes tied a Kansas City Chiefs record throwing 6 touchdown passes Sunday leading the Chiefs to a 42-37 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mahomes threw 2 touchdown passes to Travice Kelce. He also connected with Chris Conely, Kareem Hunt, DeMarcus Robinson and Tyreek Hill.
The Chiefs jumped out to a 21-0 lead only to have the Steelers tie the game at 21 just before halftime. The Chiefs led 35-28 going to the 4th quarter and were able to hold on for the win. Coach Andy Reid was pleased with the way they responded in the 2nd half.
Mahomes has throw 10 touchdown passes in the first 2 games a new NFL record. The Chiefs host the San Francisco 49ers next Sunday in their home opener.
