The Pittsburgh Pirates completed a 3 game sweep of the Kansas City Royals with a 2-1 win Wednesday night.
The lone run for the Royals was a Adalberto Mondesi home run, his 10th. He also had a stolen base his 26th all in 65 games. It was the 100th loss of the season for the Royals. Manager Ned Yost said there is a silver lining.
The Royals begin a 4 game series with the Detroit Tigers tonight with Jorge Lopez scheduled to be the starting pitcher for the Royals. First pitch is set for 6:10. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
