The Emporia State mens cross country team finished in 21st place out of 49 teams and the women finished in 27th place out of 51 teams at the Arkansas Chili Pepper invitational Saturday.
Sam Heneli was the lead runner for the men finishing in 83rd place. Grant Knoll finished 104th, Lucas Shyrock 164th, Cole Bosley 172 and Matthew Maki 186th.
Leah Nelson was the lead runner for the women, finishing in 176th place. Kaitlyn Karjala finished 177th, Hannah Showalter 180, Joanna Strecker 257tht and Nora Wheatley 262.
