The Emporia High volleyball team begins a busy week Tuesday with a tournament at Highland Park.
The Lady Spartans play Topeka West, Highland Park and Shawnee Heights. The Lady Spartans are 6-8 going into the matches. Senior Beth Schwerdtfeger says this is a team that has grown together.
Thursday the volleyball team plays at Ottawa and Saturday they play in the Shawnee Mission Northwest Invitational.
