One man is appearing in Greenwood County District Court next month as hearings continue in a theft and pursuit case.
The Sheriff’s Office says the case against Stormy Reed developed Sept. 14 after a deputy tried to stop a UTV on Kansas Highway 99 north of Hamilton. The driver led a chase into a pasture, forcing deputies to use thermal imaging at ground level and also call for the Kansas Highway Patrol’s helicopter for an air search.
Reed was arrested and has now been charged with numerous felony charges, including theft, flee and elude and interference with law enforcement. A pretrial is set for Oct. 19.
