Some big changes are coming to Pioneer Bluffs, with a more centered focus on ranching history.
Director Lynn Smith joined KVOE’s Newsmaker program Thursday. Smith says the nonprofit recently recognized that because there’s no site in Kansas, let alone the Midwest dedicated to telling the story of ranching heritage, that needed to change.
That new direction will be kicked off at Pioneer Bluffs’ annual fall roundup at 2 p.m. Oct. 6. That will include various kiosks with educational materials and Smith says eventually they hope to have even more interactive exhibits.
The educational exhibits are being funded by a grant from the Trusler Foundation. To donate, visit pioneerbluffs.org or call 620-753-3484.
