A big third quarter propelled Madison to a 70-20 victory over Lebo Friday night.
Madison opened the scoring off a 45 yd touchdown run from quarterback Ryan Wolgram in the first quarter. The Bulldogs would add to their lead on their next two possessions thanks to a 21 yard halfback pass completion from Austin Watts to Chase Harrison and a 25 yard run from Wolgram.
Lebo would get on the board late in the first on a 15-yard touchdown pass to Avery Peek, as Madison ended the quarter 22-8 and held on for a 34-14 lead at halftime.
Madison opened the third quarter with a yard touchdown run from Nassun Wasson. Lebo would answer with a one-yard rushing touchdown from Devan McEwen. Austin Watts would return the ensuing kickoff 60 yards to put Madison up 48-20. The Bulldogs added rushing touchdowns from Wasson, Watts and Hunter Engel to close out the game in the third.
Wolgram says they shook off a slow start to finish strong.
Madison racked up 411 rushing yards led by Wolgram with 121 yards off 10 carries. Lebo was led by McEwen with 221 yards passing and Avery Peek 128 yards off 12 receptions.
Madison now improves to 5-0 on the season while Lebo falls to 3-2.
