The Kansas City Royals out scored the Cleveland Indians 9-3 Saturday night.
Adalberto Mondesi hit a 3 run home run part of a 4 run 6th inning.
Whit Merrifield extended his hitting streak 19 games. Merrifield had two more hits, two RBIs and two stolen bases. He virtually locked up leading the American League in hits and stolen bases. He would become the first Royals player in franchise history to do so. And Merrifield has a good chance to lead the Major Leagues in hits and stolen bases.
The Royals close out the season with the final game against Cleveland. Eric Skoglund will be the starting pitcher. First pitch is set for 2:15p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
