(ESPN/AP) Patrick Mahomes rallied the Kansas City Chiefs from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter for a 27-23 win over the Denver Broncos Monday night.
Trailing 23-13, Mahomes directed a 12-play, 75-yard drive that ended with a 2-yard TD toss to tight end Travis Kelce.
After the defense forced a 3 and out Mahomes led the Chiefs on a 60-yard touchdown drive, ending with Kareem Hunt scoring from 4 yards out 1:39 remaining. Hunt finished with 121 yards rushing.
Mahomes scored the Chiefs first touchdown on a 8 yard run and finished with 304 yards passing. Harrison Butker added 2 fieldgoals. Chiefs Coach Andy Reid called it a good win.
The Chiefs defense finished with 4 quarterback sacks and an Eric Murray Interception.
The Chiefs did not turn the ball over and Mahomes was sacked only once.
The Chiefs are now 4-0 to start the season. They will host Jacksonville this coming Sunday.
