Emporia city commissioners have an action meeting Wednesday afternoon.
The board will formally consider a request to combine the Human Relations Commission and Accessibility Advisory Committee. An ordinance is on the agenda for that purpose.
An ordinance allowing a temporary exemption from the city’s no-alcohol policy at White Auditorium is also on the agenda. This would allow for a Quartermania event to be held at the auditorium in December if allowed.
The meeting starts at 1:30 pm at White Auditorium City Conference Room 1 AB.
