The last two weeks have been pretty dry across the KVOE listening area.
That changed Wednesday night and early Thursday morning as a cold front pushed across the state, bringing showers and storms with it. Current totals:

*Emporia Municipal Airport: 1.68 inches
*Sixth and East: 1.9 inches
*Tenth and Weaver: 1.75 inches to 2 inches
*Twentieth Park Place: 1.57 inches
*South and Sylvan: 1.8 inches
*Allen: 1.4 inches
*Bushong: 0.80 inches
*Hartford: 0.85 inches
*Lake Kahola: 1.75 inches
*Olpe: 1.5 inches
*Between Olpe and Hartford: 1.5 inches
*Strong City: 1.75 inches
TV-13 meteorologist Doug Meyers says this is the start of a pretty lengthy period where rain will be possible to probable areawide.
The current forecast has rain chances extending to next Wednesday.
